Two mates. One very blue debrief.

Bayley is back. Jack is blue.

The Williams bet has finally caught up with Jack. Carlos Sainz's top-ten Baku finish means blue paint, and Bayley is back just in time to enjoy the transformation. Hands, face, ears: the commitment is impressive. The decision-making remains questionable.

Bring back Sepang

A delayed start, a very confused restart and a grid split between intermediates and slicks give the boys plenty to unpack. The wet racing and roaring Malaysian crowd have them campaigning for Sepang to stay. They also want better organisation for fans after the transport stories from the weekend.

Max makes his move

Verstappen takes his first win of 2026, and the boys celebrate a breakthrough for the Red Bull Ford powertrain. Max versus Kimi in the wet is the main event. They want more of that fight, while asking whether Red Bull's progress could make next year's championship a proper contest.

The Mercedes argument gets personal

Russell retires while Antonelli finishes second, stretching the title gap to 84 points. Jack questions how much reliability shapes a championship; Bayley argues that a driver still has to earn the result in the car he is given. Their Toto theories are firmly in group-chat territory.

Ferrari's gamble finally pays

Hamilton sticks with Ferrari's slick-tyre gamble and recovers to third, with Leclerc fourth. Jack and Bayley debate whether the call was inspired or lucky, before giving Lewis credit for committing to a different strategy. The Ferrari Wellness Centre is accepting guests again.

Where are the full wets?

Bayley has had enough of rain delays and tyres that rarely seem to leave the garage. The boys debate the purpose of the blue-walled full wets and ask what is stopping teams from using them more often. If you can settle the wet-weather argument, they want to hear from you.

Alonso wakes up. The run stays put.

Alonso's eighth place and an outside-to-inside move get a proper reaction. At McLaren, Oscar finishes sixth and Lando ninth, so the McLarethon stays at 8 km. Lando leads their Grand Prix head-to-head 8 to 7. Bayley has started training. Jack is still considering Crocs.

A quick paddock detour

The conversation turns to Ocon's Haas seat, a possible opening for Jack Doohan and Christian Horner being linked with Ferrari. The possible destinations stay in the rumour lane. Naturally, the Ferrari Wellness Centre gets another mention before Bottas's cycling trip leads them towards Singapore.

Singapore is the two-hour sauna

Heat, humidity, concrete walls and sprint-weekend pressure set up the Marina Bay preview. The boys discuss qualifying, track evolution and the possibility of rain before making very different winner picks. Jack backs Russell; Bayley backs Verstappen. The closing question: who has the most to prove?

Notes from the final episode, including the boys' opinions, jokes and predictions. For the official record, see the Sepang race results: the event was the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. The Singapore weekend runs from 9 to 11 October. The current calendar leaves seven Grands Prix after Sepang, so the McLarethon can reach 15 km this season.
