The Madrid debrief
The Badring
Madrid had the tunnel, banked corner and all the pre-race promise. It still gave the boys a race they reckon was worse than Monaco. Jack owns the hype, while both make the case for wider circuits and real overtaking chances.
The pit stop Lando did not take
Lando's lead disappeared when the VSC timing gave his rivals a cheaper stop. Jack and Bayley argue McLaren should have gambled on pitting as soon as Lance Stroll stopped. They also push back on changing the VSC rules to hand every driver the same pit-window luck.
Oscar on Russell watch
Bayley is not accepting the Oscar slander. The boys get into Russell's opening-lap contact, Piastri's front-wing damage and the traffic that followed. Lando had the stronger day, but Bayley sees more than a missing Oscar behind the result.
Is George already out of the title fight?
Kimi's lead has George talking like the championship is gone. Jack and Bayley are not fully buying it. They get into confidence, pressure and whether the Mercedes driver needs to shut out the noise and get back to being a fighter.
Ferrari's split afternoon
The boys contrast Charles Leclerc's decision to stay out with Lewis Hamilton's retirement and the reported brake issue. A difficult weekend for Lewis gives them another Ferrari argument to pull apart.
AI slop, Coca-Cola and Baku
An awkward broadcast transition gets both mates off the couch, then they move on to the only pass they remember, Lando's cooldown-room Coke and the drivers with work to do in Baku. Proper track, proper overtakes, hopefully.
