The F1 grid changes careers
Max Verstappen: driving instructor
Max runs the least relaxing driving school imaginable. Every gap must be taken, lifting is discouraged and the speed limit sounds more like a suggestion. Somehow, the pass rate is still perfect.
Lando Norris: bartender
Lando works the bar everyone wants to visit. The drinks have papaya names, the regulars know him and the crowd is mostly there for the show. Whether anyone receives the drink they ordered is another matter.
Valtteri Bottas: winemaker
Bottas heads to South Australia to make wine in McLaren Vale. There is double denim, a restored tractor and far too much detail about how the grapes are treated. It may be the most believable career change of the episode.
Lance Stroll: regional manager
Lance gets the best parking space at the family firm and schedules meetings that could have been emails. The company appears to run exactly the same whether he is there or not.
And Lewis Hamilton?
That is the title question, so the reveal stays on the recording. The rest of the grid receives the same treatment, from office jobs and trades to careers that make no sensible use of their existing skills.
